Unlike other smart home companies, Vivint’s home and security services are available to renters. Find out about some of the most popular components and services:
Burglar alarms and glass sensors can alert you when an unwanted guest enters your apartment or rental house. Get a text to your smartphone when an device goes off, or arm and disarm your alarms and cameras remotely to let in maintenance or guests when you’re out.
Environmental safety alarms
Smoke detectors will come standard with your rental, but not other environmental alarms. Place a wireless carbon monoxide detector or flood sensor to warn you and Vivint’s monitoring agents to problems before it’s too late.
Indoor or doorbell cameras
A security cameras may be wirelessly put up so you can keep watch on certain rooms. A doorbell camera lets you see -- and converse with -- whoever is at the front door. Watch live HD feeds and alerts about possible lurkers through the Vivint App.
One of the benefits of going with Vivint is the monitoring experts backing up tripped alarms. If a device triggers, your monitoring team quickly notifies you to make sure you’re secure. Then they’ll call the emergency agency.
Smart home devices
Automation devices, like smart bulbs, can be added to make your apartment more efficient. Some components like a replacement smart thermostat or smart door locks may require prior landlord approval.

Your Lafayette security system is able to be adjusted from home or away by using the Vivint App. View live security camera feeds, remotely activate alarms and cameras, or program schedules for all your smart devices. Then receive alerts to your phone if an alarm goes off or a camera sees a suspected lurker.
